WILLIAM BYRON HILLMAN

Writer - Director - Producer – Actor – Songwriter – Composer - Author:

With a career that spans over 30 years, William Hillman provides a wide range of knowledge and expertise to the motion picture, television production and entertainment industries. After attending UCLA school of Motion Pictures and Television, Hillman began his career as an actor: Some of his better known credits include:

Hillman worked at Universal Studios, whereas an assistant to Harold Hecht he started learning his craft. Tony Curtis sent his production manager, Robert Larson, over to get an expert dog groomer who could dye dog hair without harming the animal. In-between entertainment employment, Hillman's family owned dog kennels where he had learned to groom poodles. Universal was making Wild and Wonderful, and Hillman was hired as a production assistant. (See Production Stills) He groomed and dyed all the dogs used in the film and ended up befriending Frank Weatherwax the animal trainer and Bud Westmore the makeup artist. Hillman then moved over to the independent lot, Producer’s Studio, where he participated in writing and producing low-budget features. He worked on several films for Burt Topper, Space Monster, Thunder Alley and Devils Angels and then with the infamous Sam Katzman on 52 Miles to Terror, Riot On Sunset Strip and The Young Runaways. He then worked at 20th Fox Studios, MGM and Warner Bros.
Hillman continued to diversity and formed his own independent production company called Intro-Media Productions, where he produced, wrote and directed a series of feature films.

William Hillman formed a second independent company named SpectroMedia, where Hillman produced, directed and wrote:

    RAGIN’ CAJUN
    He also wrote the screenplay "LOVELINES" for Tri-Star
    And developed CAMPUS CALL and THE HOBO for Hemdale.


SpectroMedia holds the copyright of several films, two books and several film projects. During his tenure, Mr. Hillman toured the country as a guest speaker at major college campuses. His speaking engagements continue and his motivational teachings reach beyond young filmmakers and spill into the business community.
Presently Mr. Hillman is President of Destiny Worldwide Entertainment; Inc. Destiny is a motion picture production and development company. Currently produced under the Destiny banner are:

Destiny produced the national Infomercial for Quigley products, and developed the manufacturing of the Plush Toys, Crayons, Posters and music albums from that film.
Quigley was produced as a direct-to-video release and to this date has sold in access of over 3,000,000 units.
A sequel QUIGLEY II – A HEAVENLY ADVENTURE is in development.


Mr. Hillman is currently affiliated with and is an active member of the following organizations:

As an active member of both BMI and ASCAP he has written and composed songs released on the Mr Toy and Quigley albums, along with several Christmas songs and the music score for THE PHOTOGRAPHER.


Mr. Hillman enjoys writing and story development and has completed his first novel, Ghosts and Phantoms, has the second in first-draft form and a third in outline. His tour guide for southern California – THE GOLD COAST HANDBOOK is in its Eighth edition, and has sold over 75,000 copies.
